Dina
Jacobson, Eventech Principal, has more than 20 years of varied experience
in event marketing and planning. She loves to take a client's vision
and make it a reality--be it a stellar first appearance at an industry
trade show or a spectacular special event. She began her career
planning events for the advertisers of California Lawyer Magazine
and realized she had found her passion. She loved the whole package--everything
from the strategic vision of the conference to the nitty-gritty
details.
She
founded Eventech in 1996 and serves a Silicon Valley high-tech clientele.
She finds the entrepreneurial spirit of her clients stimulating
and gets a charge from their high energy. Helping them execute marketing
plans under the condensed timelines common to the Valley is a challenge
she enjoys. Eventech clients include: LSI Logic, Philips, and HP.

Prior
to launching Eventech, she was Events Manager at KLA Instruments
(now KLA-Tencor) where she oversaw the $2M domestic and international
event marketing program including eight customer seminars and participation
in 12 trade shows per year. Prior to KLA, she worked for four years
as the Conference Manager at Interex, marketing and planning the
annual HP World Show.
She
continues to "sharpen her event planning saw" with frequent
attendance at industry-related classes. She received the Certified
Meeting Professional designation in 1995, awarded to professionals
with significant industry experience and who have passed a meeting
planning skills test. She is also a member of Meeting Professionals
International.
Eventech
philosophy includes giving back to the community and in keeping
with that philosophy Dina is a member of several non-profit Boards.
She contributes her marketing and meeting planning expertise through
grant writing, special event planning for fundraisers and PR. |
